1. Steel
INOX stainless steel is a fundamental component of Blindart production. The higher cost of
stainless steel is well counterbalanced by the higher level of resistance this material
offers to the solicitations of burglary. The use of INOX stainless steel is standard in
those parts aimed at guaranteeing resistance, such as bolts (rods in 16/18 mm) |
 |
2. Soldering
Special care is dedicated to the soldering of those parts which must resist jerking
actions. The flanges of the hinges are accurately soldered and stitched to the jambs and
window posts through a very special device. In the doors of Blindart the flanges are also
aimed at contrasting breaking (thus avoiding the anaesthetic presence of rostra)
3. Continuity
A door or window frame may be considered as "armoured" when, once
closed, it does not present any interruption in the metallic frame, from one post to the
other, from the sill/threshold to the architrave. In the blinds of Blindart the steel of
the slats is soldered, thanks to a special technique, to the perimeter frame and it makes
part of the frame of the blind itself. |

4. Push bolts
It is generally believed that for a sufficient level of security the handles
governing the rods of the lock up must be supplied with keys. Yet Blindart has projected
some further safety devices aimed at blocking the rods and bolts of the lock up even in
the improbable case the burglar might reach the handle and force it. Thanks to these
devices a burglar is supposed to open a broad hole in the pane (so wide as to let a person
in) using a hammer and making a lot of noise (by uninterruptedly hammering on the pane
from about fifteen minutes to two hours, according to the pane type). Such security
devices are not documented and their features are revealed to the client only. |

5. The holder of the
pane
The irremovability of the door or window up to the sinking of the pane (every type of
pane) due to breaking attempts, is a guarantee which is the very boast of Blindart.
Therefore the security level our customers aspire to, depends on the choice of the pane;
the collapsing of a pane during a burglary attempt may suggest the customer to choose a
stronger and more resistant pane in the future, but the frame of the door or window will
remain intact. Quite a different matter it would be, if the frame of the door or window
collapsed, leaving the pane intact.
6. The lodging of the pane
The swing-door structure of Blindart has given birth three main basic models (BL-28,
BL-32, BL-42), in compliance with the capacity of the slot lodging the thickness of the
pane (28,32,42 mm). The thickness of BL 32 model can be extended up to 40 mm and the one
of BL 42 model up to 50 mm. |

7. Assembling
Assembling systems may vary according to the situation and the client's requirements, yet
maintaining the same security levels. In new buildings, after walling the counter-frame,
the main frame is soldered to the counter-frame or bolted. No screws are used because they
may be subjected to shearing owing to breaking.
8. The covering
The consistency of the thickness and the special care dedicated to the wooden covering is
a peculiarity of Blindart. The wooden covering is not only aesthetic but also functional
to the safety, as the blindage of the structure is completely camouflaged: what a surprise
for a burglar who, unexpectedly, finds a barrier behind the wood of the covering. |

9. Privacy
Although the rules in force in our country do not state this point as compulsory, Blindart
guarantees the absolute respect of the privacy and reserve of the identity of its
customers, since the very first contact. We believe this is a further tribute to the
security of those who choose our products. |
